The DOMREBEL story started in 2003 in Montréal, when two 21-year-old university students, Justin Svatina and Don Nguyen, had a desire to create attention-grabbing t-shirts for themselves and their friends. With 350$ cash between them and no fashion training, they set up a ghetto workshop in their parents’ garage where they started ripping, studding, splattering and printing their first t-shirts.
Within 3 more years, they were selling their tees in 25 countries at 250 stores. With no outside investors, they built their own atelier in Montréal where all DOMREBEL pieces are still finished by hand today.
The brand stays focused on what it does best: creating highly artistic and bold graphics which are screen-printed on hand-detailed t-shirts and ready-to-wear pieces. With some its more elaborate stagewear pieces, the brand has had the privilege of dressing many performers and artists over the years, such as Guns N’Roses, U2, Elton John, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown and DJ Tiesto.
